COP26 Communiqué Signatory:

UIA International Union of Architects

The UIA—the only global organization representing the world’s architects, now estimated to number 3.2 million—is a lead partner with UNESCO and UN Habitat to demonstrate how architecture and urban design help to meet sustainable development goals. The UIA Commission on Sustainable Development worked with the Danish Association of Architects and UIA members around the world to publish two volumes of An Architecture Guide to the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals: Volume 1 and Volume 2. The guides show projects that support every one of the UN goals, reflecting variations in climate, economic, ethnic, geographic, and cultural factors.
