In October 2015, CECAAB led and organized 52 influential local and international design firms to sign the China Accord, focusing on achieving low carbon/carbon neutral design in China’s cities and architecture developments. In December 2015, CECAAB participated in Buildings Day at COP21 in Paris to declare that architects in China are taking significant action to reduce carbon emissions. CECAAB established the NZC (Net Zero Carbon) Promotion Committee in 2016 to further this work, and since then international symposia have been held annually in China.
